vtguy, If anyone thinks a team is leaving the ACC in the near future, you're right, it's just silly talk. Unfortunately, time goes by. We don't know much about the revenue gap that will exist (or not) ten years from now. We don't know how severe a blow UNC could get from the NCAA. Their AD could be sent reeling. We don't know if a conference channel will exist (I'm betting "no"). A new media deal will be in the works with...? Five or more of the ACC's premier MBB programs will have new coaches; we don't know who. Besides Clemson and FSU, we don't know if any ACC schools will be fielding elite level football squads. When these and other facts become known, they could reaffirm your rosy three-point outlook, or they could sent UNC rushing in to Delany’s warm, affluent embrace.
The B1G teams that you refer to as having "baggage", to me that looks like steamer trunks full of cash. The ACC bottom half should be so encumbered.
